Services Built Around Your Home
Columbine Window Cleaning brings professional window, gutter, and solar panel cleaning to Boulder, central Jefferson County, and the Denver metro.
From historic storm windows to floor-to-ceiling architectural glass, we handle what ordinary crews rush through or cannot deliver.
What You’ll Get Inside & Out
Here is the full picture of what we do. Start with a free consultation and build from there.
-
We count every window pane, ask about unique property features or challenges such as painted shut windows, specialty glass, or historic frames, and strategize access for tricky spots. We estimate your project timeframe and leave you with a fully itemized quote. Choose exactly what works for your home and budget. No bundled packages, no guesswork.
-
Every pane, every track, every screen. Interior and exterior, top to bottom, across Boulder and the Front Range. No shortcuts, no skipped steps. Just the difference between clean enough and actually clean.
-
Storm windows, historic panes, and decorative glass require a different approach. We have the skill, the technique, and the genuine respect for your home's history to take on the windows most crews will not touch. Get it right the first time. Every time.
-
Mirrors, glass doors, shower enclosures, glass tables—whatever glass needs cleaning, we handle it. No streaks. No residue. Just pristine clarity.
-
Clogged gutters lead to water damage, foundation issues, and costly repairs. We clean them thoroughly so your home stays dry and protected. Where gaps and failing seams need attention we seal them properly so water flows where it should and stays out of where it should not. No clogs, no overflow, no surprises.
-
Driveways, patios, and siding collect years of grime, algae, and Colorado dust. We pressure wash them back to clean. Because first impressions start before anyone reaches the front door.
-
Skylights earn their place by bringing light into your home. Dirt, debris, and Colorado weather work against them every season. Whether your skylights are glass or plastic we know the difference in how each material needs to be treated and we clean them safely and precisely so they keep doing their job without compromise.
Scheduled Care
You have enough to manage. Your windows are not one of them.
Choose how often we show up. We handle the rest. Every plan includes priority scheduling so your spot is reserved before the seasonal rushes begin.
-
Spring and fall are the natural reset points for most Colorado homeowners but the timing is always yours to choose. Two visits a year reserved around your schedule.
Your spot is held before the seasonal rush even begins. Just windows that are ready for summer entertaining and a home buttoned up before the cold sets in.
-
Colorado's seasons are relentless and each one leaves its mark. Spring pollen, summer wildfire smoke, fall leaf debris.
The tri-annual plan puts a clean between every major seasonal shift so your home is always ahead of the next round of buildup rather than catching up after it.
Three visits a year tailored to your calendar. Your spot is held before the seasonal rush even begins. Just windows that are ready for whatever Colorado throws at them next!
-
For the homeowner who never wants to wonder when the last clean was. Quarterly visits mean your windows are fresh before every season.
Before spring gatherings, before summer guests arrive, before fall listing photos, and before the holidays when family fills your home and natural light pours through every pane.
Four visits a year built entirely around you. Your place in our schedule secured well before the rush begins.
The simplest plan to keep track of — one clean per season, every season.
-
For the ones who notice everything.
Not every home fits a standard seasonal cadence. For homeowners with large glass walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, homes near busy roads or construction, properties with irrigation systems that leave hard water spotting, or simply those who hold their home to a higher standard year round, a visit every 6 to 8 weeks is a great place to start.
This plan is also ideal for HOAs looking to maintain a consistent community appearance standard and venues or commercial properties where first impressions drive everything. Tell us what your home or property needs and we build the rest around you. Your visits reserved before you ever have to ask.

Pricing
-
Cost depends on the size of your home, the number of panes*, and whether you want interior and exterior cleaning or exterior only. Most homes and multi-unit buildings fall within a standard per-pane pricing structure with a conservative range of $10 to $15, plus the complexities of access.
Even homes of the same square footage can land at very different price points — window style and accessibility matter as much as size. A single-story ranch with simple double-hung windows will run toward the lower end; a modern home with floor-to-ceiling window walls or a Victorian with storm and decorative windows will run toward the higher end, even at the same 2,000 sq ft. Expect a quote between $432 and $896 for that size range.
We provide a free, no-obligation estimate before any work begins, so you know the exact price upfront.
-
Yes. Interior and exterior cleaning generally costs about double an exterior only project, sometimes more, depending on the home.
Exterior only cleaning includes one side of glass and your screens.
Interior and exterior cleaning includes both sides of your glass, plus tracks, screens, and frame detailing.
Why interior costs more: Interior work takes more time. We're navigating furniture, plants, decorations, pets, blinds, and window treatments, plus a full detail pass on tracks and frames, not just the glass. Exterior is generally quicker with fewer obstacles.
-
Yes, and we'll always include those charges transparently in your quote upfront.
Skylights typically take more time to access, both from inside (ladder or pole work) and outside (roof access).
Storm windows also take extra time since each panel needs to be removed, taken apart, cleaned, and reassembled with the utmost care.
Services & Process
-
We use both, depending on what's safest and most effective for each window.
For glass reachable from stable ground or a ladder, we use the traditional handheld squeegee method. For windows that are particularly high (24ft or above) we switch to a water-fed pole to keep the job safe without sacrificing quality.
-
Our primary cleaning solution is simple dish soap, for both interior and exterior. Dawn is our go-to (it's a classic for a reason), and we also offer eco-friendly alternatives like Mrs. Meyer's or Seventh Generation if you prefer.
-
Typically 3–5 hours, occasionally longer (8+ hours) for estates or multi-unit properties. We work around your schedule and aim to impact your day as little as possible — and can start with interior or exterior, whichever works best for you!
-
Yes, we clean windows year-round in the Front Range. As long as the temperature is above freezing we can clean your windows safely with the right methods for the conditions. Our busiest seasons are summer and fall, when homeowners are looking for multiple services (e.g., adding pre-winter gutter cleaning and or post-irrigation season mineral build-up removal).
-
For most Colorado homes we recommend professional window cleaning twice a year — once in spring after pollen season and again in fall before winter sets in. Homes with larger windows, panoramic views, or hard water from irrigation systems often benefit from three or four cleans per year. Colorado's high altitude UV exposure, seasonal wildfire smoke, and mineral-rich water accelerate glass buildup faster than most states — which means your windows need more frequent professional attention than the national average suggests. Factors like kids and pets touching glass, nearby construction, or rural dirt roads can also increase how often a clean makes sense. Ask us about our maintenance plan discounts for multiple cleans per year across Boulder and the central Front Range.
-
The most common cause we see is untreated sprinkler water hitting the glass — over time, the minerals in that water build up and bond to the surface. The good news: this is usually safe to remove, for an additional fee, using a commercial-grade treatment.
Timing matters here, and we'll always give you a straight answer about what to expect. If the buildup is three years old or less, we can typically restore the glass fully. Once it's been sitting for four years or more, the minerals have started to etch into the glass itself, so we can't promise a full restoration — at that point it usually needs polishing and resurfacing, and we'll walk you through what result to realistically expect before doing any work.
-
Yes. It is more serious than most homeowners realize. Wildfire smoke is not like ordinary dust or pollen. The ash and fine particulate matter from Colorado wildfires bond to glass on a microscopic level through a process called acid etching. Unlike regular dirt that rinses away, wildfire residue is chemically acidic and actively degrades your glass surface, window seals, and frames the longer it sits. Left untreated it can permanently etch into the glass and cause damage that no amount of cleaning can reverse.
Professional cleaning after a significant smoke event is not just about appearance — it is about protecting your investment.
Columbine Window Cleaning uses professional grade solutions specifically formulated to break down smoke and ash residue safely and completely across Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, Erie, and the surrounding Front Range communities affected by Colorado wildfire seasons. A garden hose and paper towels will not get the job done. Call or text us after any major smoke event for a post-wildfire window cleaning assessment.

Safety & Logistics
-
Yes, we are licensed and insured!
If you ask, we will gladly provide both certifications along with your quote or before work begins.
-
No, you do not have to be present.
Most of our work is exterior-only, so you don't need to be present. Interior windows get cleaned whether you're home or not; access is handled through a lockbox or key system tracked in HouseCall Pro, so there's a clear record either way. Plenty of clients like to be on-site at the start, run errands, and come back in time to pay — whatever works best for your schedule.
Every technician completes our try-out process before working a job on their own, so you're not getting a stranger off the street. You'll get a text with the technician's name when they're on their way, a reminder ahead of the appointment, and a text once the job's done — and we're happy to send photos too if you'd like to see the finished work before you're back.
-
This question catches people off guard: yes, glass that's truly streak-free can become so clear it's briefly harder to see, especially on sliding glass doors.
It's worth a heads-up to kids and pets right after we finish a job, just until everyone re-learns where the door is! Some folks place a neon sticky note in the middle of the glass as a reminder.
Booking & Scheduling
-
For routine, non-urgent cleanings, plan on booking one to two weeks ahead. If you're working around a specific date — hosting a party, prepping a listing — book as soon as you know it, even if it's three to five months out; we'd rather hold that spot early than risk it filling up. Need something sooner? Ask about our rush-service option.
-
Yes, depending on availability. We offer rush/expedited service for an extra fee.
Trust & Quality
-
Look for three things: verified Google reviews from local homeowners, proof of insurance, and a named technician you can hold accountable. Any window cleaner can claim to be good. What matters is what their customers say publicly and whether they stand behind their work with real credentials.
Columbine Window Cleaning is fully insured, locally owned and operated in Boulder, and has earned a five star Google rating from homeowners across Boulder County and the Front Range. Every job is performed by a named technician — not a rotating crew of strangers — and every quote is itemized in writing before any work begins. You can read our reviews directly on Google and call or text Matt directly at (720) 781-7899.
-
Absolutely! We enjoy our existing real estate partners and are happy to add your listings to the roster.
-
Yes. We have the tools and techniques to effectively remove cement, caulk, paint, glue, and other gritty construction residue and debris left behind after a build or remodel.
-
Fair question. A lot of Front Range neighborhoods see out-of-town crews every summer that knock, take a deposit, and are gone by fall. Columbine Window Cleaning is not one of those.
We are a Boulder-based, locally owned business established in 2023 with a verified Google Business Profile. Matt, our owner and lead technician, has five years of residential, retail, and commercial window cleaning experience across Boulder County and the Front Range.
You can read our current reviews on Google Maps by searching Columbine Window Cleaning and on Facebook. Every job runs through a booking system that leaves a paper trail, not a cash handshake in your driveway. Proof of insurance is available anytime — no need to ask twice.
-
We don't knock on doors. Our only in-person outreach is leaving a door hanger, never a face-to-face pitch.
We skip any home or community with a posted no-soliciting notice, and we follow individual HOA policies where they restrict door hangers specifically, since those can be stricter than city rules.
